Questions About Podcasting?

What is a Podcast?

A podcast is an audio file (MP3 in most cases) that is made available to a user on a website. It allows the user to receive information by listening to an audio transmission rather than reading the information on the website.

How do I listen to a Podcast?

If your computer has a sound card you can listen to individual podcasts right now. Just click the podcast link and the file will load automatically using software on the computer such as Windows Media Player.

If you want to save the file to your computer, 'right click' and choose 'Save As' to download then listen to the podcast when you're ready.

If you want to make your podcasts portable, you can download them to a media device, such as your iPod or whatever MP3 player you have.
