As the lights go down and the stars come out - candles are lit and the mood is set for a magical evening of entertainment that brings families together and puts smiles on the faces of children. Carols by Candlelight is Rockhampton's premier Christmas event. It has become an Australian tradition with well known local entertainers performing solo and leading the community in a mixture of contemporary and traditional Christmas favourites.
To the wonder of the children, Santa will arrive from the North Pole and fireworks will light up the heavens as the festivities unfold. Proceeds from the evening will go to a local charity.
