Snapper Island, Hope Islands National Park has lush vine forest, dense eucalypt forest and white sandy beaches. The surrounding waters and reefs are protected in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and World Heritage area. How to get There
The park is 20 kilometres north of Port Douglas; one nautical mile south-east of Cape Kimberley. In fair weather, access the island by private boat or kayak, or join a kayak tour. The main access point is the island's north-west corner.
