Arborlee is situated high in the Border Ranges above the Condamine River Gorge. It is two and a half to three hours drive from Brisbane. The drive covers some very scenic country. The closest town is Killarney 25 minutes and Warwick 35 minutes. The small settlement of Mount Colliery is seven kilometres down the mountain.
The special features of Arborlee are birds, frogs, plants, fungi and other wildlife of the rainforest setting, the peaceful atmosphere, retreat context without other tourists, guided walks and scenic views. The setting is perfect for the bird watcher, amateur botanist, artist and photographer.
Arborlee is an affordable rainforest sanctuary. They share this sanctuary with Australia's rare Albert's Lyrebird and many other uncommon birds. See the bird, frog and plant photo gallery.
The guest unit opens through French doors onto a verandah and views to the rainforest. Guided walks can be arranged around the property.

Arborlee is 120 acres of rainforest and is surrounded by further rainforest. The house is 950 metres above sea level and the top of the drive is 970 metres above sea level. Two wheel drive cars need to park in parking bay at the top of the drive way. Pick-up is available for the last 200 metre drive down the drive. The house is on 240 volts solar power electricity and solar hot water with gas backup.
From Warwick take the Killarney road 22.6 kilometres to the Tannymorel turn off. Drive 5.7 kilometres and in Tannymorel take the Mount Colliery turn toward the mountains. It is 5.3 kilometres going through Mount Colliery to the right turn onto Gambubal Road. It is then six kilometres up the mountain to the turnoff to Sunday Plains Road. The driveway is 0.67 kilometres from the turn.
